Programs with special admissions applications
Nursing, Dental Assisting, EFDA, and Craft Brewing & Distilling programs have additional application requirements, different deadlines, and procedures beyond the regular SPSCC application process. See special admissions and contact information below.
Craft Brewing & Distilling
Craft Brewing & Distilling applications will be accepted starting March 1.
- Applicants must be age 21 or over prior to the start of the program.
- Applicants must complete the Craft Brewing & Distilling application, including answers to program interest questions (short essay format), and pay a non-refundable $25.00 application fee.
- Evaluation of the applicant’s short essay response and the application submission date may factor into entrance decisions.
- Preference for admission will be given on a space-available basis in order to:
- applicants who have previously completed English 101 and/or MATH 146, 107 or 141 (or a higher college-level math course) with a grade of C or better
- applicants who are eligible for English 101 and MATH 146, 107 or 141 (or higher) but who have not yet completed those courses
- applicants who are currently enrolled in, or who have placed at, pre-college English and math levels

Nursing
Nursing Program applications are accepted April 1-June 1. Prior to applying, applicants must complete:
- All prerequisite courses
- The TEAS test (learn more about a remote TEAS testing option at Assessment Center)
- Nursing Program Application, including payment of a non-refundable $25.00 fee

Dental Assisting
Dental Assisting Program applications are accepted March 1–April 30. Applicants must complete:
- All prerequisite courses (with a grade of C or better)
- Preference given to applicants who have also completed the general education courses (with a grade of C or better)
- Dental Assisting Application, including payment of a non-refundable $25.00 fee
- Applicants must have a high school diploma, its equivalent, or a post-secondary degree
- Hepatitis B Immunization and a tuberculosis test
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
