2015 Southwest Washington Juried Exhibition

Artists working in any media and residing in Clark, Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Pierce, Skamania, Thurston, or Wahkiakum counties were invited to enter. 35 works were selected from among 150 submissions.
Opening reception and awards presentation: Thu, July 9, 6-8 pm. Summer hours: Mon-Thu 12-4 pm.

Native American Art Exhibition
Nov 7–Dec 11, 2015
The Native American Art Exhibition features a wide variety of works by local and regional Native American artists of all ages. Works include paintings, basketry, carved wood pieces, textiles, and mixed media.

Fine Art Postcard Exhibition

The Fine Art Postcard Exhibition is an annual event that brings the local creative community together under one theme. The 2015 theme is “”. Postcard sized original artworks, created by artists of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds, will be sold through silent auction. All proceeds for this fundraiser benefit The Gallery.

SPSCC art students, led by a visiting artist, will contribute to this one week exhibition. Together, they will experience all aspects of a group installation.

Featuring the work of Chad Erpelding and Florin Hategan, this exhibition considers the complexities of visualizing place and the impact it has on our ability to locate ourselves within it.

11th Annual SPSCC Student Art Exhibition
May 16–Jun 10, 2016
SPSCC’s art faculty selects outstanding work created by students in studio art classes during the 2015-16 year. Works include: ceramics, drawing, painting, printmaking, digital photography, mixed-media, 2D and 3D design exercises, and sculpture. A continuous slide show of student work is also included in the exhibition.

About the Minnaert Center Gallery
The Gallery at the The Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts offers a diverse range of visual arts exhibitions and programs to enrich the educational experiences of students and the community.
The Gallery is 1200 square feet. The walls are white and made of drywall backed with 3/4-inch plywood. There is an 11-1/2 foot high Unistrut grid system with track lighting throughout, and the gallery is wired for media art.
The Gallery is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and by appointment.
