June Sekiguchi is an artist and curator for Era Living properties. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Studio Art from the University of California at Santa Barbara and has resided in the Seattle/Tacoma area since 1994. She has been involved in art education, served on the Issaquah Arts Commission, is a founding member of artEAST Art Center, METHOD Gallery, and is currently an independent art curator. Sekiguchi has received an Artist Trust Fellowship, GAP grant, and five 4Culture grants. She has been awarded artist-in-residencies locally and internationally. Sekiguchi has served as a juror on many panels including Artist Trust, 4Culture, the City of Seattle, and numerous arts members’ organizations. Sekiguchi’s works are in private and public collections including Seattle Portable Works, and internationally in Laos, Morocco, and exhibited in Sweden. She recently created installations for the San Juan Island Museum of Art, the Wing Luke Asian Museum, and is currently working on a public art piece in Seattle. She is represented by ArtXchange Gallery in Seattle.
