The South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Theatre Program is proud to present a five-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical: Fun Home, based on Alison Bechdel’s best-selling 2006 graphic memoir of the same name. One of the first off-Broadway performances, as well as the first production in the Olympia area, the musical will take place at 7 p.m. from May 16 to 18 and May 23 to 25 at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts, Main Stage.

Tickets are $20 or less, with discounts available for seniors, youth, and military. Admission is free for SPSCC students, staff, and faculty with ID.

About Fun Home

The musical introduces the audience to Alison Bechdel at three different stages of her life, revealing memories of her uniquely dysfunctional family that connect with her in surprising new ways. Described as “heart-gripping and cathartic” by the New York Times, Fun Home explores the turbulent waters of family relationships, the secrets they necessitate, and the struggle to discover and be true to one’s self.
