Due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 through Thurston County, and to minimize its spread on campus, SPSCC is reducing the number of staff and students on campus each day by making temporary changes to Winter Quarter on-campus services and instruction.
Classes where face-to-face learning is essential may continue to be fully face-to-face or hybrid with a face-to-face component. These classes may include some of our professional technical classes, lab sciences, music, and studio arts.
Classes where face-to-face learning is non-essential will move to fully online instruction.
If a class has a scheduled start time and day(s) of the week that it meets, those times and days will stay the same, even if the class moves online.
Each instructor will communicate with their students about changes to their class no later than Friday, Jan. 14.
To the greatest extent possible, most in-person services will stay open with slightly reduced hours.
Effective immediately, in-person services will be available Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Virtual services (phone, email, and zoom) will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
A complete list of departments hours and virtual service links is available on our Hours webpage.
Services that will continue to offer in-person and virtual services include: Start Here Desk, One Stop, Advising, Career, & Transfer Center, Counseling Services, Financial Aid, Food Pantry, Personal Support Center, Assessment, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Center. The Library will also be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Campus buildings will remain open during normal business hours.
These changes will remain in place until at least Friday, Feb. 11, when we will re-assess our community's health situation and make any needed changes.
