"Embroidered Spaces" explores memory through metaphor

Embroidered Spaces is the newest exhibition at The Gallery at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts, opening Monday, April 4. A special opening reception will also take place on April 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. in The Gallery. The exhibition runs through May 6.

Amanda McCavour’s hanging design portrays a sharp uniqueness to her work. McCavour finds her success in a metaphorical thread of memory that translates to an extremely literal thread, showing us how and when we remember the locations, places, or even people we call home. Connections that may seem weak, may also be stronger than they appear.

The Gallery at the Minnaert Center hosts this exhibition during its regular hours, which are Mondays through Fridays from noon to  p.m. The Gallery is also open by appointment.
