SPSCC is collaborating with Providence Health & Services to train and hire ten students as nursing assistants for Providence Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia.
Providence will select ten aspiring Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to receive a sponsorship that will fully fund their education, supplies, and certification costs. Successful students will have the opportunity to be hired to work at Providence Mother Joseph Care Center upon program completion and certification.
The program will run during daytime hours for approximately six weeks starting Sept. 17, 2018. Classes are held in SPSCC's nursing assistant lab at the Olympia Campus.
Each spot in the program is valued at over $1,100 in tuition, fees, books, supplies, and certification costs. Funding is provided by the Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council.
