But until you and your family are ready to get you there safely, SPSCC is here for you with affordable, transferrable online and hybrid classes. Fast and flexible admissions, extra funding for books and supplies, and small classes with great professors are just a few of the reasons that SPSCC is one of the nation’s top 50 community colleges.

Whether you take a few classes or stay for a year or two, SPSCC will work with you to get you closer to your university goals. Learn more >

Earn a Transfer Degree Before University

Is your goal to earn a bachelor’s degree (or beyond)? Direct Transfer Agreement (DTA) associate degrees let you complete your first 90 credits at SPSCC and then transfer to a 4-year school in Washington as a college junior.

Most SPSCC graduates transfer to the University of Washington, The Evergreen State College, and Western Washington University. Others select another great state or private university, and some transfer to institutions out of the state. At SPSCC, you can earn a transfer degree in biology, business, music, nursing, the sciences, or an associate in arts. Learn more >

Start a New Career or Upgrade Job Skills

Professional Technical (Prof Tech) degrees help prepare you for a new career, upgrade your current skills, or get into a trade job. SPSCC Prof Tech faculty members are industry professionals with strong connections to local and regional businesses, and closely mentor you through a two-year Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree or a program certificate. Extra funding, such as Worker Retraining and tuition assistance, is available for many Prof Tech programs. Learn more >

Finish High School or Learn English

Need to earn your high school diploma or GED®? If you’re older than 18, you can earn your high school diploma through High School+, or take GED® preparation classes to get ready for GED® testing.

Now you've got your diploma. What comes next? Adult Education programs prepare you to enter college level courses, vocational or technical programs, or the workplace. Build English and math skills to prepare for pre-college and college-level course work, or take Digital Literacy classes to build basic computer skills. Classes are $35 or less per quarter!

Next, enter into college-level work with an extra teacher to support your basic skill growth through the I-BEST program. Pick an I-BEST focus area: university transfer (AA), professional technical, beginning automotive certificate, or office clerk / receptionist certificate.

Do you want to improve your English language skills? The ESL (English as a Second Language) program has six levels of classes to help non-native speakers of English improve skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Classes are $35 or less per quarter. Learn more >
