Dakota Seddon Receives 2021 ACT Transforming Lives Award

SPSCC is proud to announce student-athlete Dakota Seddon as its nomination for the Washington State Association of College Trustees (ACT) Transforming Lives Awards. As an award recipient, Dakota received a financial award of $250 from the ACT.

Dakota came to SPSCC in the fall of 2019 after health issues made his dream of enlisting in the Air Force unlikely. He decided to reach out to coach and educational and career planner Juan P. Murillo about playing soccer at SPSCC and, shortly after enrolling, Dakota found a different dream.

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) and the SPSCC Foundation last week announced its largest gift in school history, a $2.5 million gift from the Bruno and Evelyne Betti Foundation. The gift will impact the college’s professional technical degree programs, as well as healthcare programs in the Dr. Angela Bowen Center for Health Education.

South Puget Sound Community College has received $2.5 million from the Bruno and Evelyne Betti Foundation, the largest gift in the school’s history.

The gift will go toward the college’s professional technical degree programs, such as automotive and welding, as well as health care programs in the college’s Dr. Angela Bowen Center for Health Education.
