Six automotive and welding students from SPSCC took home gold, silver, and bronze medals from the SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Conference at Columbia Basin College on April 20 - 21, 2018. This is the sixth consecutive year that automotive and welding students have competed and won. Read the 2017 story and 2016 story.
The six students are part of the Automotive and Welding Club at SPSCC, two of them attending the college via the high school Running Start program. They were accompanied by professors and club advisors Alex Wittmann, Dan Main, and Steve McRavin. Two of the students will have an opportunity to compete in the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, KY., in June.
