Dominic Ceu Bik has had a lifelong love for soccer. Originally from Burma, his family left their home country when he was 12 and stayed in an immigrant refugee camp in Malaysia before coming to the United States in 2014. But no matter where he’s lived, at every stage of his life, Dominic has played soccer. From Burma, to Malaysia, to playing varsity at Foster High School in Tukwila, and, now a sophomore, he plays at SPSCC.

In addition to his enthusiasm for soccer, Dominic is equally passionate about his academic career. He is currently enrolled in the automotive technology program and leans on his teammates when he needs help. Education is a point of pride for his parents, too. The walls of the family’s home are lined with academic awards earned by Dominic and his siblings.

One of seven children, Dominic will be the first in his family to earn a college degree. “It would make me very happy and proud of myself. Especially my parents will be really proud of me.”
