Advising for Returning Students

Welcome back to SPSCC!

Steps for Returning Students

  1. 1 Reapply to SPSCC.
All students must re-apply if they have been gone for more than two consecutive quarters. Applications can be submitted online or in person at the One Stop desk in Building 22, Olympia Campus or in Building 1, Lacey Campus:
    Apply for Admission
  2. 2 Attend NSAR.
If you have been gone for more than four quarters, you are required to attend a New Student Advising & Registration session (NSAR) in order to register for classes. You can sign up for NSAR once Enrollment Services has processed your admissions application and you have activated your spscc.edu email account. The NSAR session is your first advising appointment, where you can ask questions about registering for classes:

Advising appointments

If you have additional questions after the NSAR, or are returning to SPSCC and would like to discuss degree or certificate requirements with your advisor, you may log into your Compass account to message or make an appointment with an Educational Planner or Financial Advisor.

Activate spscc.edu email

Make sure your SPSCC email is activated. This will allow you to login to mySPSCC, Degree Audit, Canvas, and Compass. The Advising Center will respond to email inquiries from valid SPSCC email accounts.
