  • Terry & Claudia Minton

    The OJ & Mary Christine Harvey Educational Foundation gifted SPSCC $1.8 million dedicated to student scholarships in 2024. The Harvey Foundation has supported student success nationwide, including gifting funds to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, the American Indian College Fund, the I Have a Dream Foundation, and the University of Colorado. In total, the foundation has disbursed over $13 million in scholarships.

  • Bruno & Evelyne Betti

    The Bruno and Evelyne Betti Foundation generously donated a historic $2.5 million gift to support Professional Technical and Healthcare programs at SPSCC. A representative from the Bruno and Evelyne Betti Foundation shared that the gift is about a lifelong program of “Giving A Leg Up” to support others, which was the heart of the Betti's philanthropic work.

  • Richard & Karen Jordan Tonelli

    Richard and Karen had been private supporters of the college for many years. In 2018, Karen gracefully ended her ongoing battle with cancer and Richard lost the love of his life. Richard is keeping Karen’s legacy alive and their scholarship continues to help pay for tuition for students who have struggled with addiction in their lives.

  • Bill Funk & Marilyn Zuckerman

    Bill and Marilyn believed in equal access to higher learning for all classes of society. Virtually the whole combined family of Funks and Zuckermans have attended SPSCC at one point or another, which stands as a testament to their collective belief in the community college mission. An endowed memorial scholarship and a named library study room carry on Bill and Marilyn's legacy at SPSCC.

  • Dr. Nels Hanson

    Through the Community College Act of 1967, Olympia Vocational Technical Institute (OVTI), as SPSCC was formerly known, was put under the jurisdiction of Community College District 12. Dr. Hanson was District 12 President during this important time in SPSCC's history. His leadership saw many big changes in education for Olympia and beyond. Through his children, Dr. Hanson left a substantial estate gift to his Foundation endowment to carry on his legacy of supporting higher education in the region.
