Pre-Veterinary Medicine

If you love science, working with your hands, and interacting with animals of all shapes and sizes, you might consider becoming a veterinarian. As a veterinarian, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the health of our closest companions, and help educate the population on responsible pet care and ownership.

Options at SPSCC

Pre-veterinary studies is not a major on its own, but at SPSCC you will find thorough and challenging prerequisite courses as part of earning a 2-year associate transfer degree. You will save on tuition when you transfer to complete your bachelor’s degree at a 4-year college or university. We recommend that you talk to our Advising and Career Services staff to help you find the right fit for your academic skills and interests.
