Astronomy
Are you curious about the mysteries of the universe? Have you ever wondered why stars have different colors? How our ancestors used them for navigation in ancient times? How black holes are formed, or what causes stars to erupt into supernovas?
Astronomy courses at SPSCC will give you an in-depth knowledge of the night sky and the amazing events that lead to its formation through small lectures and exploration exercises, in-class demonstrations, and an online planetarium. You’ll gain an appreciation of the motion of the stars (apparent) and planets in the night sky, but also for the diversity of cosmological myths and understandings from cultures around the world.
