In 2023 SPSCC Corporate and Continuing Education launched Kraken Studios with a goal of assisting local and global media developers in creating professional, industry standard content. We serve educators, public relations professionals, narrative and documentarian filmmakers, as well as streamers, advertisers, and anyone else who has a need, passion, or desire to tell stories or share information. We’ve curated a catalogue of courses designed to advance targeted skills from the start to finish of any media project.

    Eric Gibson is a Louisiana-based writer, director, producer, and actor with over a decade of hands-on credits spanning features, shorts, and television. From writing and directing Portal in the Pines and Incantation to line producing titles like Room 203 and #ChadGetstheAxe, Eric has worn nearly every hat on a film set — and worn them well.

    What makes Eric's perspective uniquely valuable is where he's built his career: not in Hollywood, but in Louisiana, where he's been an active force in proving that serious, marketable film work can be made anywhere. He's part of a growing generation of filmmakers creating thriving production ecosystems outside the traditional industry centers.

    Whether you're trying to break in as a writer, navigate your first producing credit, find your footing on set, or figure out how to make films work in your own backyard — Eric's been there, done it, and can show you the ropes.

    Eve’s script supervising credits include The Good Guys, The Chosen, Salem, Dusk Till Dawn, Prison Break, Dallas (2012), Queen of the South, 1883, Bass Reeves, and Landman. She has worked with directors such as Jonathan Frakes, Richard Linklater, Tim Matheson, Greg Nicotero, Peter Weller, Timothy Busfield and Jennifer Lynch. In 2019, she directed the feature film Lily is Here, and the short film 2Ships.

    Outside of her work on specific projects, she also developed a digital script supervising program, has served on the board of Women in Film/Dallas, Texas Association of Film/Tape Professionals and Women In Communication, Inc./Dallas, and has given presentations on script supervising at KD College, UT Arlington and SXSW, and is a card-carrying member of IATSE Local 484.
