Health care is more than doctors and nurses – allied health encompasses a range of services including diagnosis, counseling and therapy, physical rehabilitation, nutrition and dietary counsel, and diagnostic imaging. If you’re interested in health care, but aren’t certain what field to study, SPSCC’s allied health programs can help you find the right path.
SPSCC offers a full spectrum of challenging courses that you’ll need to build a strong foundation for your future career in an allied health program. Many programs include the same prerequisites – biology, math, English, anatomy, physiology – and you can begin at SPSCC for a fraction of the cost of a 4-year university. We recommend you work closely with your SPSCC advisor and keep an open line of communication with your school of interest.
