The annual Fine Art Postcard Exhibition returns to the Leonor R. Fuller Gallery for its 12th year from Jan. 3 to Feb. 3, 2023, with the theme “From the Edge”. The opening reception will be held on Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. and the closing reception will be held on Feb. 3 at 6 p.m.

“Each year, the postcard theme is a sort of ‘ad-lib’ prompt to inspire our creative community,” said Sean Barnes, Gallery Director and Coordinator of the Leonor R. Fuller Gallery. “The theme is selected from a list of suggestions solicited from the community in the first week of the Postcard Exhibition and at the opening reception then the gallery committee and I vote to select one. This year’s theme, ‘From the Edge’, was selected from 33 community suggestions. We will continue this process for the 2024 Postcard Exhibition, so I encourage all to put their ideas into the suggestion box at this year’s show.”

The annual Fine Art Postcard Exhibition brings the local creative community together under one theme. The exhibition will feature postcard-sized (4” x 6”) original artworks created by artists of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds–including SPSCC students, staff, and faculty–that will be sold through a silent auction. All proceeds will go towards supporting gallery programming.
