South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) would like to congratulate its six basketball student-athletes who received Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) All-Region awards for the 2025-26 season. The winners are Dakota Carson, Mia Martinez, and Jaynee Tanner from Clipper Women’s Basketball, and Caleb Bowden, Jeremiah Lewis, and Elijah “Jack” Mack from Clipper Men’s Basketball.

Jaynee Tanner received the highest honor of the bunch as she was named West Region Most Valuable Player. She becomes the first Lady Clipper to win the MVP award since Sharay Trotter, who won the award in the 2022-23 season. Tanner had a monster year leading the team in average points per game (19.3), rebounds per game (17), and free throw percentage (82.3%). These stats were also good enough for her to be third in the NWAC in points per game, tied for first in rebounds per game, and fourth in the league in free throw percentage.

In addition to her MVP nod, Tanner was also named to the All-Defensive Team for the West. She finished second in the league with 260 defensive rebounds and also had 48 steals and 11 blocks for the season.

Receiving a First Team West Region honor was Dakota Carson, as she finished off with a great sophomore season. Carson was great from beyond the arc as she finished with 47 made three-pointers, good for 27th in the entire league, and she was the second leading scorer on the team, finishing the year with an average of 10.7 points per game.

Last, but certainly not least, freshman standout Mia Martinez received a nod to the NWAC Second Team West Region in addition to being named to the All-Defensive Team. Martinez has really cemented herself as an integral part of the Lady Clipper dynamic in her first year of college basketball. She has proven to be an asset on both sides of the ball as she was third in scoring for the Clippers with an average of 10 points per game and finished the year with an impressive 71 steals, as she finished in eighth in the NWAC for total steals.

On the men’s side, the sophomore duo of Caleb Bowden and Jeremiah Lewis ended the year with First Team West Region honors.

Lewis provided veteran leadership while also performing big on the court for the Clippers, finishing second in the NWAC in field goal percentage (66.8%) and third in average rebounds per game (9.7). Lewis was a big presence for the Clippers on the glass as he finished the year with 80 offensive rebounds, good for seventh in the NWAC, and 22 blocks, finishing in 13th in the league.

Bowden was also a big part of the sophomore leadership group for the Clippers and a big force on the scoresheet. Bowden finished as the second-highest scorer on the team, averaging 13.4 points per game, and was a big asset on both sides of the ball as he was in the top five in the rebounding, assist, and steals categories for the team.

Lastly, freshman guard Elijah “Jack” Mack was named to the West Region All-Defensive Team. Mack was a force to be reckoned with in his first year of collegiate ball on both offense and defense as he played in nearly every game for the Clippers and started in all but one game. What really got him noticed by the league was his 60 steals for the year, leading the team in that category, and finishing as the third-best in the entire NWAC. He was also one of the team’s best rebounders and finished with 168 boards for the season, which is impressive considering that he usually plays in the 2 position for the Clippers.
