South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) has extended the hours of its on-campus Food Pantry to better serve students and increase access to vital resources.
The SPSCC Food Pantry offers a wide variety of free items for students, including fresh and non-perishable food, hygiene kits, and even children’s books. The pantry is a welcoming space where students can grab essentials and feel supported throughout their academic journey.
Starting this quarter, the Food Pantry is now open:
- Tuesdays: 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Thursdays: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The change comes in direct response to student feedback collected through the quarterly Student Senate Survey, which indicated a need for more accessible hours.
“We’re always listening to students and working to make campus resources easier to access,” said Aaron Managhan, Program Coordinator in Student Life. “Extending Food Pantry hours is just one way we’re supporting our students’ basic needs so they can thrive inside and outside the classroom.”
