The South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Music Department will be performing two concerts featuring SPSCC students this June at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Main Stage: Forevermore and Spring Jazz.
First, join the SPSCC Symphony Orchestra and Choirs, conducted by Dr. John Guarente and Cameron May, for Forevermore, a profound evening of music that explores themes of resurrection, graduation, and seasons of life to come on Saturday, June 7, at 7:30 p.m. The program includes music by Gustav Mahler, Franz Liszt, and others, including the second performance of “Four Landscapes” by SPSCC alum Isaac Dorcy, based on the artwork of Danish painter Peder Mørk Mønsted.
Then, come share in the celebration of the end of the spring season with the SPSCC Jazz Band and Jazz Combo in Spring Jazz on Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Admission for each concert is a suggested $15 donation at the door. Entrance is free to SPSCC students, staff, and faculty. The Music Department concerts are sponsored in part by R.L. Ray Violin Shop. More information is available on the college’s Arts & Entertainment page.
