SPSCC Theatre Collective Presents Lizzie

April 23, 2025

The South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Theatre Collective presents Lizzie at the Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts Main Stage from May 23 to June 1, 2025.

Lizzie is a rock show retelling of the bloody legend of America’s favorite axe-wielding double-murderess and Victorian hometown girl, Lizzie Borden. Due to adult language, mature themes, and suggested violence, Lizzie is recommended for audience members 18 and up.

The cast includes Jesse Morrow, Meagan Kirby, Heather Matthews, Lola Havens, and Emma Sorensen. Behind the scenes, SPSCC students Skylar Augustine, Kyoko Hosfield, Lena Kirkendall, Katie Phinney, Nolan Sutton, and Carrie Thompson bring the production to life. Alumnus Owen Yates joins the team as Lighting Designer, and SPSCC Art Professor Liza Brenner serves as Scenic Consultant.

“The show is a hybrid raucous rock concert and Victorian crime story,” said Dr. Lauren Love, Drama Professor at SPSCC. “I’m excited about the spectacle and the energy that these fierce women and amazing band are bringing to the KJM Center to rock the house!”

Admission is a suggested $15 donation at the door. SPSCC students, staff, and faculty are free. More information, including performance dates and times, is available on the college’s Arts & Entertainment Calendar.

SPSCC Theatre Collective presents Lizzie by Steven Cheslik-Demeyer, Tim Maner, and Alan Stevens Hewitt on May 23, 24, 30, 31 at 7:30 p.m. and May 25 and June 1 at 2 p.m.
