South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) is excited to welcome Kelly Green, Christine Hoffmann, and Amber Wetzel as the SPSCC Foundation’s new fundraising team.

On March 7, 2023, Kelly Green was appointed Vice President for Advancement of SPSCC. As Vice President, Green is responsible for building positive and productive relationships among philanthropic, corporate, and community leaders as well as individual donors dedicated to supporting and advancing student success.

Green started her career at SPSCC in 2012 as the Confidential Secretary in the College Foundation. In her time there, she has served as Events Manager and Foundation Development Manager before transitioning to an executive role overseeing the College Public Relations and Events teams in 2015.

“We are delighted to have Kelly step into the VP for Advancement role,” said SPSCC President Dr. Timothy Stokes. “She began her career at SPSCC with the Foundation and her talent and skills are a perfect fit for leading our Foundation and Advancement work.”

This July, Green welcomed two new fundraising professionals to the Foundation team. Christine Hoffmann, Director of Development, and Amber Wetzel, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Major Gifts, bring years of fundraising expertise and community connections.

Hoffmann is an SPSCC alumna who has worked for several local organizations including Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County, Puget Sound Energy, The Evergreen State College, and, most recently, Unite Us.

Wetzel is an alumna of both Grays Harbor College and Seattle Central College and has more than 12 years of fundraising experience for organizations including the South Sound YMCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County, and, most recently, Washington YMCA Youth & Government.

“The SPSCC Foundation, just like the College, has evolved and grown exponentially since I began working here 11 years ago,” said Green. “It is an incredible honor to lead this unique piece of our organization. By bringing together our Public Relations, Events, and Foundation teams under the umbrella of Advancement, I am excited to chart a course that will help our students and the College thrive and continue to be a strong resource and partner for everyone in our community.”
