For the fifth year in a row, South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Best of South Sound Gold for Best Community College. The Best of South Sound, determined by community votes, celebrates outstanding businesses, organizations, and individuals who make significant contributions to the region.

“To be recognized as the Best Community College in the South Sound for the fifth consecutive year means so much because it comes directly from our community,” said SPSCC President Dr. Timothy Stokes. “This award reflects the trust that students, families, employers, and community members place in SPSCC every day. We are grateful for their support and remain focused on providing accessible, high-quality education that helps people transform their lives and strengthen our region.”

SPSCC combines small class sizes, world-class faculty and staff, and modern facilities to complete the college’s mission of amplifying student success.

Each year, SPSCC serves more than 8,000 students across many goals and Pathways, including degree-seeking students, high schoolers, veterans, international students, and underemployed workers. The college sees thousands of students each year land a new job, learn a new skill, earn a degree, and pursue exciting opportunities from its campuses in Olympia and Lacey, as well as in online classes.

SPSCC’s core themes of student achievement, equity, and learning and engagement are the heart of the work completed by its departments and faculty. The college has been serving the city of Olympia and its surrounding communities for more than sixty years.
