If you’ve graduated from an ADA/CODA-accredited Dental Assisting program or hold a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential through DANB, you’re eligible to apply immediately!

💡 Not a CODA graduate or don’t have your CDA?
No problem! You may still qualify. Reach out to the EFDA Director to explore your options—we’re here to help you find your path.

Minimum eligibility for entrance to the program: Applicants to the EFDA Program must be currently registered as dental assistants with Washington State (RDA). You must be ADA/CODA accredited OR a current CDA completed by the end of the first academic quarter. Applicants must have a dentist willing to commit as their sponsoring dentist. Priority consideration will be given to those students who have 5 or more years of restorative chairside experience. 

Health & Safety: Applicants must have current and valid health care provider basic life support (BLS) certification.
