English as a Second Language

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program at SPSCC has 6 levels of classes to help non-native speakers of English improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Classes meet in the morning, afternoon, and evening on the Main Campus in Olympia and the Lacey Campus.

ESL entry testing and classes for summer quarter are closed. Please check back August 15, 2017 to schedule an appointment for ESL.  Fall classes begin on September 18, 2017.

* Non-eligibility: Students in the U.S. on a student or tourist visa are not eligible for the college’s ESL classes. People in the U.S. as "nannies" or "au pairs" on a study exchange (J-1) visa are required to participate in college-level academic classes.  Please contact the International Student Office about the Intensive English Program.
