English as a Second Language

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program at SPSCC has 6 levels of classes to help non-native speakers of English improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Classes meet in the morning, afternoon, and evening on the Main Campus in Olympia and the Lacey Campus.

ESL entry testing and classes for fall quarter are closed.

If you have questions about enrolling for winter classes (January-March 2018), please contact Caroline Hobbs at chobbs@spscc.edu / 360-754-7711 ext. 3473, or visit our office Mon-Thu 1:00-4:00 pm, in Building 34, Room 108 (Olympia campus).

* Non-eligibility: Students in the U.S. on a student or tourist visa are not eligible for the college’s ESL classes. People in the U.S. as "nannies" or "au pairs" on a study exchange (J-1) visa are required to participate in college-level academic classes.  Please contact the International Student Office about the Intensive English Program.
