Bio:
I majored in art metal at the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee School of Art. I have been in numerous juried shows in Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and have won some awards for wood sculpture, furniture design and art metal. Second place, third place and honorable mentions but no firsts (yet). One of my wood sculptures won two second places. I’ve changed its name to “Two”. I’ve also been in a few invitational and a one person show in a small art museum in New Castle, Pennsylvania. I am a past president of Wisconsin Designer/Craftsmen.
Artist Statement:
I am a modernist to the bone. In other words, I have no interests in making a statement in my art. I’m more interested in beauty, elegance and delight. I can’t claim a great amount of beauty or elegance for these works but I’m hoping for some delight.
