Bio:

I am an artist, designer and printmaker. I recently moved to Olympia from the San Francisco Bay area. After a long career working in advertising, art directing and design I have turned my attention to fulltime artmaking as personal expression and social commentary. I’ve worked in various printmaking traditions including woodcuts, photo transfers and monoprints as well as watercolors and acrylic paints. I’m greatly inspired by my new environment in the beautiful Pacific North West and look forward to seeing where this takes me creatively.

Artist Statement:

During the most restrictive isolation of the pandemic I walked my city obsessively. I began observing and photographing details that in the past I may not have noticed. I used these photos to create a body of work which became a reflection and diary of my experience. On some works I introduced NASA images of the earth as an allusion to the tiny corner of the world I was occupying and drawing inspiration from.
