Jessie Lenderman

Collaborating Artist

Lenderman is an interdisciplinary film and video artist, and a filmmaking and artmaking educator. She enjoys working together on creative projects with other people and brings to the process her background in documentary film editing, location sound, music, theater, and gallery curation.
As a documentarian, Jessie explores collaborative and reflexive documentary storytelling methods that positively connect participants, audience, and filmmaker. She is interested in non-traditional film presentation that can bring documentary stories and themes to new public spaces.
Jessie finds inspiration in the forests of her native Pacific Northwest, and listens for relationships and mystery in the small and ordinary parts of our lives.
Jessie holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College, a BFA in Moving Image Arts from the College of Santa Fe, and a BA in Social Work & Education from Eugene Lang College at the New School for Social Research.
