I majored in art metal at the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee School of Art. I have been in numerous juried shows in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, California, Illinois and Washington. I have won awards for wood sculpture, furniture design, art metal and ceramic sculpture. Second place, third place and honorable mentions but, alas, no firsts (yet). One of my wood sculptures won two second places. I’ve changed its name to “Two”. I’ve also been in a few invitationals, a national traveling show and a one person show at the Hoyt Institute in New Castle, Pennsylvania. I am a past president of Wisconsin Designer/Craftsmen.
I am a modernist to the bone. In other words, I have no interests in making a statement in my art. I’m more interested in beauty, elegance and delight. I can’t claim a great amount of beauty or elegance for these works but I’m hoping for some delight.
