Hall Jameson is an American artist who lives in the Pacific Northwest. Her formal study of fine art began at The Maine College of Art, where she studied the modern and traditional processes and history of fine art. She completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Her artwork is held in many private collections around the United States and has been shown at galleries and museums locally and nationally, including The Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, The Newspace Center for Photography in Portland, Oregon, and Marin Museum of Contemporary Art in California. Her work has been published in a variety of print and online publications, such as Kansas City Voices and Still Points Art Quarterly.
Hall spends her free hours in her kayak on Puget Sound, in the forest searching for owls in the wee hours, or at home wrangling cats.
The natural world plays a key role in all of my art. I enjoy searching for the perfect waterscape to photograph while kayaking; shooting dynamic weather during a storm; or waiting for the ideal moment to capture a flock of birds moving through a landscape. I hope to not only catch a physical representation of these scenes but the mood and transformation of the environment in response to these events. I shoot these images in black & white to present a striking composition with a sense of place.
