Understanding the concepts from a different perspective

In today’s competitive business environment, efficient work teams are important and sometimes hard to foster. When employees from different disciplines work together, much can get lost in translation. These classes give employees the ability to understand the concepts from the perspective of their teammates and communicate across disciplines more effectively. Specifically, this certificate works to bridge the gap of understanding between the Project and Technology worlds by teaching to the non-technical person.  The courses allow employees to gain an understanding of how the technical approach works, and in turn provides a common language when approaching problems and solutions on a team.  By having this understanding, it can allow communication from a common place, and help to work toward effective outcomes.

The certificate was inspired by a local state agency's efforts to find a way to provide a more effective working environment and found great success with a 12-participant cohort earning their certificate.  Today the classes are structured as 1-2 days in length to provide an overview and get you back to your role so you can immediately use the knowledge you obtain in class!  Take one class that may apply to your work or take them all to have a complete overview.
