Master Plan Update / Soccer Field

  • The Master Plan work has wrapped up and we are now on the search for a design firm to design our new soccer field.
  • Request for Qualifications were accepted through April 25. Six firms submitted their Qualifications
  • The next few weeks we will be reviewing submittals, interviewing candidates until we narrow it down to our one design team.

Building 25 - Business Office Renovation

  • Construction of the space is now complete
  • Business office will be moving in starting Monday May 5th.

Building 34

  • Heat pumps installation is nearing completion.
  • Classrooms are waiting for on a few finishing touches such as ceiling tiles and flooring.
  • CNA Program scheduled to temporarily relocate Bldg. 32.

Building 35

  • Project includes the replacement of Heating Control Systems and Heating Valve updates.
  • MacDonald Miller has performed site walks with their sub-contractors and have begun to order equipment.
  • Once MacDonald Miller proposes a schedule we can begin to coordinate efforts with building staff. 

Building 21 Boiler/Cooling Tower Replacement

  • Communication Software and mobile app will be part of the final package.
  • Cooling Tower has been successfully installed.
  • Final hook up and completion of this project will be in early May.

Energy Efficient Lighting Project

  • We have received a grant to cover the cost of replacing non-LED lights in building 21, 22, 24, 34,35, and throughout the parking space.
  • Tentative schedule to begin exterior lighting on May 6th, Bldg 21 on May 20th. More on schedule to follow.
  • Sample lighting locations in Bldg. 34 will show conference, classroom and common area settings to be used campus wide. Currently available to view.

EV Charging Stations

  • Installation will include 3, dual head chargers in parking lot J.
  • Pre-con meeting set for May 8th.

Building 25 MDF Room

  • Will be replacing the cooling system in the MDF room.
  • Work to begin Mid May.

Energy Management Programs

  • Building 31 awarded a $38K Retro-Commissioning Audit! With the purpose of helping to extend the life of building systems and reduce environmental impact.
  • Property wide survey and savings benefits underway. Anomaly Study.
  • Clean Buildings compliance. Operations and maintenance Program Energy management Program.
  • PSE COHORT Program
  • Building Operator Training
  • Energy Management Program is currently underway with PSE. This will reward the college with cash savings for upcoming projects.

New Business and Key Projects

  • Kraken Studios underway with the construction of recording and sound stages. Studio design is complete. HVAC, Electrical scheduled.
  • ABC Rooftop currently being monitored for repairs schedule.
  • Two Boilers are being monitored in Bldg. 35. We currently are scheduling a complete rebuild but replacement in the near future will be inevitable.
