Mad Hatters Secure Third Place in CCDC Pacific Rim Regional Competition

South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) is proud to announce that its cybersecurity club, the Mad Hatters, achieved an impressive third-place finish in the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) Pacific Rim Regional Competition held from March 22 to March 24, 2024.

The CCDC Pacific Rim Regional Competition, hosted by SPSCC, brought together 11 teams from colleges across Washington and nearby states to compete in challenging cyber defense scenarios. Through participation in competitive events like the CCDC, students gain invaluable hands-on experience and develop the skills necessary to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity.

"We are immensely proud of the Mad Hatters for their outstanding performance in the CCDC Pacific Rim Regional Competition," said Andy Leiren, SPSCC Professor of Cybersecurity and Network Administration and Mad Hatters Advisor. "Their dedication, teamwork, and proficiency in cybersecurity exemplify the high standards of excellence we strive for at SPSCC."

SPSCC congratulates all participating teams in the CCDC Pacific Rim Regional Competition and looks forward to continued success and collaboration in the field of cybersecurity.
