SPSCC Foundation Awards Over $900,000 in Financial Aid This Year

In 2022, the South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) Foundation has awarded students $662,040 in scholarships in addition to $238,576 in grants, totaling an estimated $900,616. These funds are made available by generous donors who support the college through initiatives including the Foundation’s Student Success Campaign.

Scholarships and grants help students pursue their education and career goals without worrying about the financial impact.

Of the scholarship recipients, 36% were first-generation college students and 15% were returning to college after ten or more years. Additionally, 30% of scholarship recipients identified as a person of color, 24% identified as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and 10% were international students.
