Statement

Loveliness and Isolation is a series of paintings born out of the pandemic. They are an exercise in stillness and an attempt to find peace as the world is unraveling. In my search for peace I turned off the chatter of electronic devices and look towards the world around me. 

Bio

Surrounded by a creative family, Jeanette Jones was raised in Ormond Beach, Florida. In 2006 she provided a platform for the underserved artists of Volusia County to show their work. In 2016 Jeanette received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Arts from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. Upon graduating she served as exhibition manager for the Fred Hutch Cornish Alumni Exhibition in addition to art consulting for various other organizations. After living in Seattle for eleven years she relocated to Olympia, WA. Jeanette’s studio work consists of painting, drawing, and sculpture with an emphasis in exploring different materials and methods. Her work has recently been included in the 2024 CVG Juried Show and 2023 BIMA Spotlight Exhibition.
