Join College in the High School
Earn college credits when you take SPSCC classes at your high school!
College in the High School (CiHS) is a statewide program that allows qualified high school students to earn college credits for classes taught by their high school teachers on the high school campus.
Why join CiHS?
Save money on college tuition
College in the High School students pay one flat fee per college course they are enrolled in. This saves you $400 per course you complete!
Enjoy college curriculum in your high school environment
Stay at your high school with your friends and participate in all the normal high school activities while still earning college credit! With CiHS your high school instructor is an adjunct faculty for SPSCC, so college comes to you instead of you coming to the college.
Find academic success
Students are successfully completing 90% of their CiHS courses with a āCā or better. Many CiHS students continue into Running Start and earn their Associate degree at the same time as their high school diploma.
