Running Start Class Registration (RSCR) Sessions
Registration for classes at the college is a very different experience from registration for classes at the high school. At the college level, students are responsible for registering themselves into classes; college staff cannot do it for you!
SPSCC has three registration cycles:
- Summer quarter (Jul.-Aug.) & Fall quarter (Sep.-Dec.) Registration: Starts near the end of May
- Winter quarter (Jan.-Mar.) Registration: Starts at the beginning of November
- Spring quarter (Apr.-Jun.) Registration: Starts mid February
This is when registration begins for those quarters. Students who submit their RSEVF by the priority deadline ensure that their accounts will be coded and owing tuition and fees will calculate correctly as you register for classes. Students can continue to apply to SPSCC through the admissions deadline (two weeks before the quarter begins) and register for classes.
In order to be prepared to use the online college registration system called CTC Link, new Running Start students must complete Running Start Orientation (RSO) which is Step 1 on the Running Start Admissions Steps. Students can refer to the Running Start Canvas classroom for additional guides and help.

Once a Running Start student has attended RSO and completed the admissions steps, they are welcome to register themselves online for classes during active new student registration. If you would like in person assistance from the Running Start Academic Advisors to help register for classes, you can sign up below for a Running Start Class Registration session (RSCR).
Available Sessions
RSCR is offered in person at both the Olympia and Lacey campus. One parent, guardian or other support is welcome to come with you (additional supports will need to wait in the lobby) Your support cannot come in place of you! Students must RSVP for a session & attend. Walk ins will only be accommodated if there are no shows to the session or the session is not full.
Running Start Class Registration Sessions for Summer & Fall quarter 2026 will open at the beginning of May.
If you are registering for SPRING 2026 classes, please RSVP for a New Student Orientation (NSO) sessions offered by the Advising, Career and Transfer (ACT) Center. These sessions are for all students, so will not provide specific Running Start information, but will allow you to still register for classes and ask questions! Caregivers are not allowed in NSO sessions.
