Programs

At South Puget Sound Community College, education extends far beyond traditional classroom learning. Our diverse college programs provide students with hands-on experiences, industry-standard training, and opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

Programs That Make a Difference Beyond the Classroom

The SPSCC Foundation raises funds for a variety of dynamic programs that enrich student experiences including:

Academic Programs - Equipping students with industry-standard technology, tools, and hands-on experiences to develop competitive professional skills in high-demand fields.

Clipper Athletics - Supporting student athletes as they represent SPSCC and develop teamwork and leadership skills.

Food Pantry - Addressing food insecurity for students and their families while they are on and off campus.

IGNITE Program - Empowering all students to achieve academic and personal success.

Art Gallery - Bringing cultural enrichment to campus while providing showcase opportunities for student artists.

Through the generous support of our donors, these programs help students develop the practical skills and confidence they need to excel in their chosen fields.

“The SPSCC Food Pantry has really helped me feel confident about attending class without worrying about food or hygiene. It’s been a huge relief.”

The Leadership Circle Gathering is a biennial event honoring supporters who generously contribute to student success at SPSCC in the following ways:

Leadership Circle members have given $1,000 or more in one calendar year.

Lifetime Circle members have given $25,000 or more during their lifetime of giving.

Legacy Circle members have listed the SPSCC Foundation as a benefactor in their estate plans.

We proudly recognize their generosity and commitment to making a difference. Visit the Our Supporters page to learn more.

Phenomenal speakers, celebrated student achievements, and inspiring stories are all part of our annual Martin Luther King Jr. lecture event. Each January, SPSCC welcomes a prominent keynote speaker to share insightful perspectives on topics related to educational access and community impact. Visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Event page to learn more.

The annual Brunch With a Purpose event supports the LGBTQ+ Student Success Fund, which directly helps LGBTQ+ students through scholarship and emergency grants. In support of general operating costs, a one-time fee of 5% will be assigned to all donations. Endowments will incur a fee of up to 2% annually.

Employee Giving

SPSCC employees make a difference every day and Campus Cares is another way we show our commitment to student success.

Your Generosity Makes a Difference

Campus Cares is SPSCC's employee giving campaign—and you're invited to make a direct impact on student success.

Every October, employees like you come together to support scholarships, grants, and innovative programs that help students achieve their dreams. Led by the SPSCC Foundation and our Campus Cares Street Team volunteers, this campaign creates real opportunities for our students.

Where Your Gift Makes the Biggest Impact

Student Success Fund - Your most flexible gift! This fund allows us to meet students' urgent needs in real-time, ensuring every SPSCC student can access an innovative, affordable education.

Scholarships - Give students the chance to pursue their dreams by covering tuition costs.

Grants - Help students with education-related expenses and basic needs that can make or break their college experience.

Programs - Support cutting-edge educational programming and classroom resources that keep SPSCC at the forefront of learning.

Want to support multiple areas? You can split your donation however you'd like!

New This Year: Add 2 for Aspen!

This year you helped us achieve #2 in the nation through the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Now we have the opportunity to turn that recognition into a lasting legacy for SPSCC students.

By adding $2, $20, $200, or more to your giving, you will help build SPSCC’s first-ever endowment for Emergency Grants.

Your support will:

  • Match the $100,000 Aspen Prize award
  • Create a permanent fund to help students in times of crisis
  • Ensure more students complete their degrees and succeed without having to worry as much about how they will pay for it

Add 2 for Aspen today and help transform national recognition into a legacy of student success.
